CULTURE NEWS

  • Live finals of Diva Quest 2026 will be held Saturday, Jan. 31 at Journey Church in Kenosha, where 10 finalists from Wisconsin and Illinois will perform solo and in groups for scholarship awards + guest acts include Naturals of Marquette University, Riverport Chorus, and 2025 winner Yocelin Valdez.  Kenosha County Eye

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Bristol School District announced it received a $20K grant from Electric Research and Manufacturing Cooperative, Inc. to boost its S.T.E.A.M. programs and improve classroom technology + hands-on learning, with enhancements set to begin soon.  Kenosha News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Two proposals are before the Plan Commission at 5 p.m. Thursday at city hall. The Shalom Center wants to add 6 cots (though fire code limits additional beds) while Starbucks plans a larger drive-thru and more parking on a city-owned lot that once held a gas station.  WGTD
