  • The Boys & Girls Club will honor longtime operations director Kathy Holland on Jan. 28 at noon — recognizing her dedicated service over the years.  Kenosha News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • At KTEC School of Innovations, the CEO defended first-grade teacher Jennifer Bonnes, who left Racine Unified School District under a negotiated separation after an investigation into her allowing student visits to her home and giving kisses (public records confirmed the review).  Kenosha County Eye

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Kenosha Water Utility warns residents to insulate vulnerable pipes and let faucets run to prevent water service freezes as extreme cold settles in; homes with plumbing near exterior walls (which may be poorly insulated) are particularly at risk. Residents are advised to call customer service if issues occur.  Kenosha County Eye
  • City of Kenosha officials announced that the Waste Division bulk waste drop-off site (1001 50th St.) will close this Saturday due to dangerously cold temperatures to protect residents and staff. The site normally accepts waste on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.  Kenosha County Eye
