  • Superintendents of the five largest school districts, including Kenosha, sent an open letter urging state lawmakers to compromise on funding after last year’s budget raised property taxes; Gov. Evers proposed a $1.3 billion plan while Senate Majority Leader Felzkowski noted the surplus is not recurring.  WGTD

  • The owner of the nearly 100-year-old Eagles Club ballroom in downtown Kenosha requested demolition approval after a burst water pipe caused massive damage and a costly repair estimate; the Historic Preservation Commission will meet at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Municipal Building to discuss the application.  WGTD
