- ➤ Dual enrollment at Gateway Technical College enabled high school students to earn college credit — a program that cuts both time and cost to join the workforce. Katie Graf said the program led the state for the third consecutive year as of Jan. 27. WGTD
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ County Executive Samantha Kerkman said Tuesday that Kenosha County is teaming with the Kenosha Area Business Alliance and the Workforce Development Board to attract skilled professionals as a state grant is being pursued to fund the initiative supporting local economic growth. WLIP
- ➤ The Mt. Pleasant Village Board approved site plans for 15 new data centers on Jan. 27 — paving the way for a Microsoft project with construction set over the next 10 years. Dozens of local trades workers attended the meeting amid debate over infrastructure impacts. WGTD

- ➤ Downtown Kenosha’s newest high-rise, the Karrick, opened last week with 20% of its 158 units pre-leased and 14 tenants set to move in by week’s end — Mayor Bogdala and officials handed welcome baskets to early residents while planning additional downtown developments. WGTD
