CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Searchers announced Friday that Paul Ehorn located the luxury steamer Lac La Belle over 150 years after it sank in a Lake Michigan gale. The wreck was found about 20 miles offshore between Racine and Kenosha in October 2022 (Ehorn started his search in 1965). WLIP
- ➤ Ella Kohlmeier (a student at St. Joseph Catholic Academy) was crowned Miss Kenosha at the 100th Miss Kenosha Pageant. Kenosha News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday, the Assembly approved Senate Bill 673 (92-7 vote), which requires schools to set clear policies on staff and student communication and to hold annual training on grooming behaviors; the measure now heads to Gov. Tony Evers for his review amid rising concerns over digital interactions. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ The Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission approved relocating Costco’s gasoline fueling facility to an off-site location+ expanding parking spaces for the warehouse, a move aimed at improving access and easing congestion. Kenosha News
