  • More than 800 Kenosha Unified School District students performed Saturday night at Indian Trail High School and Academy—part of the 59th Annual Choral Festival.   • Kenosha Voices interviewed WGTD General Manager David Cole, former GM Karl Frederick and morning show host Greg Berg to mark WGTD's 50th anniversary. The oral history project is a joint effort by the Kenosha History Center and Kenosha Public Media.  WGTD

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The University of Wisconsin-Parkside issued a Ranger Alert Saturday morning at around 10:00 a.m. instructing students and faculty to evacuate or shelter in place due to a security concern; later, all Saturday afternoon classes and events were suspended until further notice.  TMJ-4
  • A Tremper High School chemistry teacher, Amanda Nickel, was placed on administrative leave after a TikTok video captured her acknowledging racism during a class discussion — district review is ongoing and past actions suggest that termination is unlikely.  Kenosha County Eye
