COMMUNITY NEWS

  • TMJ4 invites Kenosha residents to share what matters at a listening session on Wednesday, March 25 from 4-6 p.m. at Kenosha Brewing Company (4017 80th St.).  TMJ-4

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A brush fire burned 40 to 50 acres in the Village of Bristol near 214th Avenue Monday afternoon, leading to 10 homes being evacuated while no injuries were reported (25 departments battled the blaze) and officials may impose a burn ban due to dry, windy conditions.  TMJ-4

CULTURE NEWS

  • The UW-Parkside Wind Ensemble and Community Band will perform together in Somers on Thursday ahead of the country’s 250th anniversary. The concert will celebrate the milestone with a special joint performance.  Kenosha News
  • Hundreds of student musicians will perform at the Southeastern Wisconsin School Music Association District Solo and Ensemble Festival on Saturday, Mar. 28 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Tremper High School (8560 26th Ave) where over 800 performances will be judged by certified musicians; the event is free and open to the public.  Kenosha County Eye

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • WE Energies said that proposed data centers in this area will not raise electric bills for residents as companies building the centers take on their own energy costs — the utility’s proposal is now before the Public Service Commission with a decision expected by May 1.  WLIP

SPORTS NEWS

  • Westosha Central High School cheer team won state titles in Traditional Medium and Game Day Large, boosting their record to 12 state wins and 20 conference wins. Head coach Vernezze said the victory followed months of summer preparations and made the community proud.  TMJ-4
