  • Local students Jaxson Thomas and Jadyn Eisenbraun are packing Easter baskets filled with candy and toys so children in need can have a special celebration and will distribute them before Easter. They are accepting donations at the Kenosha Rotary Safety Center+ their work has drawn praise from local law enforcement.  TMJ-4

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Kenosha County Board approved borrowing measures and a plat plan to acquire land for the South Pike River project — the county’s cost share dropped from 38.7% to 20.7%. The resolutions passed without opposition.  WLIP
  • The Kenosha County Board did not approve changes to its rules Wednesday night after a tough debate—15 voted yes and 5 voted no, one vote short of the needed two-thirds majority—so the board will keep using its current procedures.  WLIP
