- ➤ The Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission approved preliminary site and operational plans for a 15,250-square-foot expansion at Balcan Plastics’ facility at 7201 108th Street in Lakeview Corporate Park that will add new printing equipment lines and double the workforce with 83 full-time employees working four shifts. Construction will start in May and finish by December—project plans include grading, access road modifications, underground utilities and round-the-clock security. WLIP

- ➤ A new research report commissioned by Kenosha County identifies recovery housing as the top need in fighting the opioid crisis while also noting the need for better transportation and navigation support. The study done by Kane Communications Group for the Opioid Settlement Advisory Panel recommends expanding recovery housing and hiring navigators to help people access treatment—officials plan to use settlement funds to address these issues.
