  • Engine Works opened yesterday at the Kenosha Innovation Center on the former auto assembly site. The public co-work space serves entrepreneurs, creatives and technologists, offering daily or monthly access with a kitchenette, printers + privacy booths for calls and meetings.  WGTD

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Tremper High School teacher Paul Mommaerts is on administrative leave again as new allegations of inappropriate classroom conduct surface + the district reviews concerns raised by Tremper parents following earlier disciplinary actions.  Kenosha County Eye
  • Kenosha Unified School District hosted its 63rd annual orchestra festival at Indian Trail High School and Academy, where thousands of students performed and guest conductor James Mick (a professor of music education at State) led the event.  Kenosha News
  • Tremper High School students and staff face temporary classroom relocations and changed traffic patterns after heavy rain and freezing temperatures damaged the roof last weekend.   • Kenosha Unified School District is redeveloping LakeView K-8 Academy to improve safety and neighborhood traffic flow. The project will add a new pick-up + drop-off loop to better manage campus access.  Kenosha News

  • Community State Bank is offering a relief loan for government employees affected by the shutdown to help cover essentials in Kenosha County. The loan provides up to 90 percent of gross monthly pay with a maximum of $35,000 (contact CSB for more details).  Kenosha.com
