COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour will stop at Campus Park in Mount Pleasant on Tuesday, Apr. 14 at 5:00 p.m. to offer live music, food trucks and football games for families while supporting Habitat for Humanity's affordable housing efforts (tickets cost $40).  Kenosha.com
  • On Arbor Day, April 24, Kenosha will honor four community leaders with memorial tree plantings at local parks (Petzke, Pennoyer, Simmons Island, and Eichelman) to mark their lasting impact.  Kenosha County Eye
  • City commissions approved permits for Kenosha's Celebrate America celebration and other summer events, plus residents can look forward to local gatherings and festive activities. The approved plans will boost community spirit throughout the season.  Kenosha News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Registration is underway for the Kenosha Community Sailing Center's 2026 education programs at the harbor. The center offers youth, teen, adult, and family options for sailing courses later this year.  Kenosha News

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Kenosha residents can drop off brush, branches and compostables at the city compost site at 4071 88th Ave starting Monday, April 6 + the site is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday and requires valid ID for free service.  Kenosha County Eye
  • The Kenosha compost and brush drop off site at 4071 88th Ave. will open for spring on Monday, April 6. Residents can start planning their yard waste drop off once it opens.  Kenosha News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Kenosha Hometown Heroes Commission is accepting nominations for veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces with strong ties to the community. Nominations must be submitted by May 29 by calling (262-653-4000) or visiting the city website.  Kenosha County Eye

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Mushi is a playful 4-year-old pup weighing 83 pounds and available for adoption at the Wisconsin Humane Society Kenosha Campus. He has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped (and his adoption fee is set by you) so he is ready to join a new home.  Kenosha.com
