- ➤ Families in the area will enjoy many Easter activities starting April 12 as events like the Kenosha Kingfish egg hunt at Simmons Field (10 a.m. to noon) and a Downtown Bunny Hop with Storytime at the Kenosha Public Library open free to the public—additional events include candy drops in Downtown Racine, egg hunts in Bristol and at the Kenosha YMCA plus celebrations at the Racine Zoo on April 19 and a spring egg hunt at Pleasant Prairie’s RecPlex on April 25. - ➤ Late Wednesday night, fire crews in Pleasant Prairie responded to a structure fire in the 9100 block of 3rd Avenue, containing the blaze to one bedroom and extinguishing it by 12:39 a.m. Thursday—no injuries were reported and investigators are examining the cause. WLIP

- ➤ Microsoft paused part of its data center plans in Mt. Pleasant and early projects on rural land outside Columbus—responding to a lower need for powerful computers—while the Mt. - ➤ A 16-year-old accepted a plea agreement on Wednesday after pleading guilty to making terrorist threats and possessing a firearm on school grounds at Indian Trail High School—authorities dropped two misdemeanor charges after a December investigation revealed social media posts showing the suspect with a weapon. - ➤ A retail theft blitz at two major Pleasant Prairie shopping centers led to six arrests and 14 criminal charges—ranging from felony theft to possession of THC—by the Pleasant Prairie Police Department with support from regional and federal partners. Kenosha County Eye

- ➤ A Kenosha Transit Commissioner, Andrew Schmidt, is pushing for expanded bus service to Somers to support the growing number of businesses and residents.
