ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A late-night fire heavily damaged the Kenosha Beer Garden on the 3500 block of 14th Avenue Sunday as firefighters switched from an interior attack to a defensive strategy and confirmed all occupants had safely evacuated with no injuries reported. WLIP

- ➤ The longtime DeBartolo family announced that Frankie D's Pizzeria will open soon in Kenosha; the new restaurant will serve Italian cuisine in a familiar neighborhood spot. The opening date is tentative and will be confirmed later. Kenosha News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Salem School District announced Ryan McBurney will become superintendent + Don Norwick will serve as 4K-8 principal effective July 1 in Salem. They were chosen for their strong focus on student learning and a positive school culture. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ Kenosha Unified is inviting residents to support a student who will compete for national honors next week. Local leaders say that community backing could boost the student’s award chances. Kenosha News
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Crews are cleaning up Tuesday night’s storms in Somers and near the I-94 and Racine/Kenosha county line while the National Weather Service warns of more heavy rain, hail, and damaging winds today. WGTD
- ➤ Gateway Technical College will host Earth Day celebrations on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its campuses in Kenosha and Elkhorn. Kenosha News

- ➤ The City of Kenosha released a community survey on Apr. 14 to help shape its 2050 Comprehensive Plan, inviting residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to share ideas on housing, transportation, parks, and more. - ➤ Grace Lutheran, which celebrated its 125th anniversary in February, is preparing to close amid dwindling numbers. Rev. Paul Erickson said negotiations with a potential buyer will help repurpose the building to serve community needs, and a final service is planned for this spring. WGTD
