- ➤ Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurants will open its fourth Wisconsin location in Pleasant Prairie on May 11 at 7530 115th Ave. The new restaurant will serve wine-focused dishes, seat 262 indoors plus 44 on a covered patio, and offer reserve dining led by local Kaylyn Porter and Chef Matt McMillin. - ➤ On April 9, the Environmental Education Foundation hosted a freshwater careers workshop for local science teachers in Kenosha, where they attended seminars, conducted experiments, and met with local business leaders to learn about environmental and freshwater-related careers available for their students. - ➤ Kenosha Unified School District sent a letter Friday warning parents that students in the unofficial game (Senior Assassins) risk discipline if they bring squirt guns or toy weapons to school following recent real gun incidents, reminding families that these items can cause confusion. - ➤ Dozens of tornadoes hit parts of the state Friday night, causing flooding, a train derailment, and significant damage as communities begin cleanup efforts. WGTD
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Restoration crews are returning the Ceremonial Courtroom at the historic Kenosha County Courthouse to its original 1925 look by uncovering and refinishing decorative details.
