- ➤ Students at Roosevelt Elementary presented research and personal stories to District Superintendent Dr. Weiss on Thursday—hoping a therapy dog will improve mood, behavior and learning. A brief visit from a therapy dog underscored the benefits the students expect on campus. TMJ-4

- ➤ Kenosha launches its Spring 2026 Compost Pickup program Monday, April 27 through Friday, June 5; residents must use approved biodegradable bags and place them curbside after 6:30 p.m. the previous night, and a $2 coupon is offered at local sites (such as Ace Hardware and Festival Foods). HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Kenosha County Public Health offers free well-testing for flood-affected residents, with kits available during business hours at sites including the County Center, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and samples collected Tuesday-Thursday this week and Monday-Thursday next week; Health Officer Ricky Ferrari Traner advised sanitizing wells if floodwater hit the casing. SPORTS NEWS
