An early morning fire on Tuesday destroyed the building that was set to become Elsie Mae’s Pies & Pints at the 6600 block of 120th Ave—firefighters controlled the blaze by 4:05 a.m. and no one was injured.

Firefighters arrived early Tuesday morning at Uncle Mike’s Highway Pub as police said the restaurant was closed for renovations so no one was inside—officials continue to investigate the cause of the fire—.

The Kenosha Italian Fest will take place from September 20 to 21 at Celebration Place on the scenic lakefront, featuring a parade that starts at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday with brass band music and traditional Italian dancers as it winds through downtown before returning to the festival grounds.
