- ➤ The 100+ Women Who Care Kenosha event will be held Tuesday, May 12 at the historic Woman's Club (6028 8th Ave.) with on-site registration beginning at 5 p.m. and the program starting at 5:30 p.m.; attendees will donate a fee based on age and may nominate a local nonprofit. Kenosha.com
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Mayor David Bogdala announced the Keys to Kenosha self-guided tour that will let residents explore over 50 historic and architectural sites on Nov. 7 in partnership with local cultural institutions + community leaders. The event highlights the city's rich heritage and design. WLIP
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Gateway Technical College has chosen Veronique Tran to lead the institution starting July 1. She was one of three finalists (with a fourth candidate withdrawing last month) in the selection process. Kenosha News
- ➤ Kenosha Unified School District begins Recognition Week to honor staff for milestone years of service. The celebration started Monday with 5- and 10-year awards, continues Tuesday with 15- and 20-year awards, and will feature additional recognitions through Friday at district schools. - ➤ Isabella Rotizza, a Westosha Central 10th grader, won the 2026 Congressional Art Competition; her artwork (Beauty Doesn’t Have to Have Color) will soon be displayed in a tunnel linking the Cannon House Office Building and the Capitol as announced by U.S. Rep. - ➤ Following the April 7 election, the KUSD board held an organizational meeting Tuesday where Carl Bryan was elected president before continuing with a regular board session. Kenosha News
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Residents in flooded areas along the Fox River and nearby can now use free well-testing services provided by Kenosha County Public Health after local governments declared the service amid recent flooding concerns. Kenosha News
