- ➤ UW–Parkside Theatre earned national and regional American College Theatre Festival awards—Mr. Burns received national honors and student achievements in acting, design, and tech were recognized regionally. Kenosha News
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ The Kenosha-Racine News Guild said Lee Enterprises has not offered a livable wage after six months of contract talks, noting reporters earn around $20.55 per hour amid financial struggles. Lee Enterprises has not responded as of the union’s statement. Kenosha County Eye
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Kenosha Unified School District honored employees with 25 and 30 years of service on Wednesday during Recognition Week at local schools (a nod to decades of commitment to education and the community). The district will continue celebrating milestones with additional awards on Thursday and Friday. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ Indian Trail Key Club hosted a Starry Night prom on April 25 for KUSD exceptional students (the event was planned by students with support from sponsors and staff) to celebrate community achievement. Kenosha News
