Hundreds of people gathered Saturday in Bristol to celebrate the grand opening of the Hansen Park Beer Garden, a family-friendly venue launched by the team behind the Petrifying Springs Biergarten.

Guests enjoyed live music by Brecken Miles and Bills Garner, comfort food like Sicilian pizza and brats, and craft beers served in reusable aluminum cups—this venue will operate on a regular schedule.

Federal officials rejected a compact amendment—one that would lower state payments and extend deal terms—removing a barrier for the Menominee Tribe’s plan to build a $360 million casino on 60 acres west of Interstate 94 in Kenosha.
