  • Wheatland residents met Tuesday night with officials from Robin Energy Storage to voice safety concerns over a proposed 200 megawatt lithium ion battery facility planned near homes and a grade school.   • Nigh, the teen services librarian at Kenosha Public Library, was named a Library Journal Mover and Shaker on May 6 — an honor that shows his commitment to supporting teens in the community.  Kenosha News
  • On May 20, Mykayla Romo-Ramirez earned an associate degree in civil engineering at Gateway Technical College. She now works as an estimator and project manager at Willkomm Excavating and Grading in Union Grove.  WGTD
  • KUSD's budget committee is weighing options to address a shortfall after losing a projected $4.3M special education funding increase for the 2026-2027 school year. The district will consider measures to balance its budget as planning continues.  Kenosha News
