Memorial Day events will take place across the county this weekend.

Programs include a remembrance event at Somers' Pritzker Military Museum + Library today from 11 a.m., a service in Union Grove on Sunday at 11 a.m., and ceremonies at Navy Park and other local venues on Monday.

County officials plan to unveil a renovated playground with expanded accessibility at Old Settlers Park plus kick off the 2026 Rhythm on the Lake concert series.

Wisconsin officials released the 2026 Rustic Roads Guide featuring 126 Rustic Roads and five Scenic Byways spanning over 700 miles in 61 counties, promoting scenic routes marked by brown & yellow signs and a 45 mph speed limit.

Gateway Technical College awarded degrees to a record 604 graduates during commencement ceremonies on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 19-20.
