- ➤ A Kenosha family’s only van was set on fire just outside their home in a suspected arson just after midnight + police said it is the third such incident in the neighborhood in recent days. TMJ-4
- ➤ Roxanna Vanderzee-Collins, 70, posted a $500,000 cash bond at 6:49 p.m. Monday and was released from Kenosha County Jail after her initial court appearance on a 2003 murder charge against her husband + her preliminary hearing is set for June 13, leaving local residents uneasy. - ➤ Jamie L. Turner, a 35-year-old Kenosha resident, swung her fist at a police officer inside Froedtert South Hospital's urgent care on Sunday after refusing to leave an exam room, and she was charged on Tuesday with felony counts of attempted battery to a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer and disorderly conduct with prior convictions—she remains in custody with $1,000 bail and a preliminary hearing set for June 11. - ➤ Jake S. Strazzanti, 32, of Silver Lake, who already faces misdemeanor charges from a December incident, was charged Tuesday with felony resisting an officer causing great bodily harm—punishable by up to 10 years—with additional charges for carrying a concealed knife, criminal damage to property, and disorderly conduct with a domestic abuse enhancer, and he is set to appear in court on Friday. - ➤ Roxanna Vanderzee-Collins, 70, appeared in a Kenosha County courtroom on Monday to face charges in a decades-old murder conspiracy as her lawyer requested leniency citing her age, medical needs + full-time caregiver role while bail was set at $500K. Kenosha County Eye

- ➤ The 200 megawatt solar farm in the Town of Paris was completed on June 3rd and began producing power last December while its battery park went online this week. The storage facility—able to power more than 130,000 homes for four hours—marks the state's first large-scale energy storage project, state officials said. WGTD

- ➤ At its meeting, the council approved a conditional use permit for a 1.2 million-square-foot Uline distribution facility at the southwest corner of 38th Street and 120th Avenue and heard details for a Success Fair job event on June 13 from 1 to 3 p.m. The council also denied a Class A bar license for Fantasies Food Store—citing concerns over too many local alcohol establishments and procedural issues.
