- ➤ A 40 year old Kenosha man named Ryan M. Phillips—facing multiple felony charges—ran a drug house, harbored a fugitive, and threatened to shoot a police officer during a recent investigation. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ A 35-year-old Illinois man from Lake in the Hills was charged with six felony counts and held on $75,000 cash bail after leading Kenosha County deputies on a high-speed chase on I-94 near Somers last week with cocaine and marijuana found in his car + two passengers were charged with drug possession and held on $5,000 bail. - ➤ On June 11, 2025 at 12:30 p.m., Gateway Technical College's board named Morgan Phillips—a former community college administrator in Arizona—as its interim president for one year, and he will begin his role on July 1 as the school starts its search for a permanent leader. WGTD
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ County Executive Samantha Kerkman joined local officials and volunteers over the weekend in hands-on restoration efforts in Kenosha, including a pollinator patch near the Velodrome in Washington Park where about 3,000 native plants were planted. She also provided updates on the third phase of the Petrifying Springs Park project—where 100 native trees are being planted to strengthen the ecosystem and improve river water quality for Lake Michigan. - ➤ The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office honored Deputy Jacob Keul—the first deputy to die in the line of duty—on the 102nd anniversary of his death. He was killed in 1922 near the intersection of Antioch Road and Wilmot Road when his vehicle rolled over while he was on duty. Kenosha County Eye
