  • The 2025 Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade will take place on June 29 with nearly 130 registered groups marking its 17th anniversary, according to organizer Kris Kochman. The parade route will run through downtown with streets closing at 10 a.m.—full details on the lineup and bike ride will be released next week.  Kenosha News

CRIME NEWS

  • Thomas L. Carlson Jr., a 50-year-old man from Burlington, allegedly pulled a gun on his neighbor during a late-night dispute at Lily Lake on June 18—escalating an ongoing feud, according to the Kenosha County Sheriff.  Kenosha County Eye
  • Justin T. Williams, 30, of Riverdale, Ill. remains jailed in Kenosha County after police allegedly found cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, THC, cash, and trafficking tools during a Tuesday night traffic stop — his bail was set at $100K.  Kenosha County Eye
  • A Burlington man, 47-year-old Matthew J. Mortensen, failed to appear in Kenosha County Circuit Court — his absence led to a $5,000 cash arrest warrant for a felony OWI charge tied to a June 8 crash in Brighton, and he remains at large.  Kenosha County Eye
  • A Kenosha bartender, Justine E. Bloxdorf, 33, allegedly attacked her sister with scissors after a reported drug dispute on June 2—she posted bail the same day and is set to return for a pre-trial hearing on June 27.  Kenosha County Eye

  • Pleasant Prairie has launched a new online portal for applying for building, zoning, and engineering permits as well as renewing business licenses—users can create accounts to track applications, make payments, and print permits, while village officials say the system streamlines the process and ensures compliance with safety codes.  Kenosha News
  • The Kenosha County Housing Task Force is gathering information on strategies to boost available housing locally (officials have not set a timeline) and will use the findings to guide future housing plans (further details are pending).  Kenosha News
