  • At Thompson Farm in Bristol, farmer Scott Thompson said the cool spring weather helped strawberries grow bigger, juicier and more flavorful than usual. The farm has set a three-week picking window and welcomes thousands of visitors to sample sun-ripened berries — fruits that offer a real taste of tradition.  TMJ-4
  • The Kenosha Civic Veterans Parade will take place Sunday, June 29 in downtown Kenosha to honor local veterans. Snap-on presents the event featuring five themed divisions with marching bands and a robust pre-parade that includes veteran motorcycle riders, law enforcement vehicles, and community groups (like color guards and stilt walkers).  Kenosha County Eye
  • Kenosha PD will host its first Community Day and Movie Night on Saturday, June 28 at Tremper High School with free activities, police demonstrations, a Touch-a-Truck zone, and a screening of the Dog Man movie.   • A 52-year-old Kenosha man, William G. Wood, was charged with a felony drunk driving offense after he allegedly tried to flee officers from a local McDonald’s drive-thru yesterday at 3:01 p.m.—he now faces his fourth OWI charge.  Kenosha County Eye
  • Michael R. Navrotsky, 67, of Kenosha is facing multiple felony charges for allegedly beating his elderly wife after she asked him to shower for the first time in two months—Kenosha County Sheriff said the investigation is underway.  Kenosha County Eye
  • A 60-year-old Salem Lakes man was charged with felony elder abuse and misdemeanor disorderly conduct after he allegedly punched his 67-year-old wife in the face during an argument at their mobile home on Sunday—he appeared in court Monday with a $1,000 cash bail set.  Kenosha County Eye
  • More than 50 residents attended a fraud awareness session at Ruffolo’s II on Monday evening where Kenosha Police officers—Detective Chad Buchanan, Officer John Wenberg, and Detective Tommar Franklin—warned about scams such as romance cons, tech support alerts, and crypto fraud that are targeting locals. The officers explained real-life examples and scheduled additional presentations at the Moose Lodge on Wednesday, June 25 at 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.  Kenosha County Eye
  • Less than 48 hours after posting bail on felony drug and threat charges, Ryan M. Phillips, 40, of Kenosha appeared in court facing new allegations—he violently confronted a roommate over a ride request to buy crack cocaine.  Kenosha County Eye
