- ➤ Das Fest Wisconsin is scheduled for July 18-20 at the Kenosha County Fairgrounds to celebrate German heritage with live music from 18 bands, dachshund races, authentic cuisine and $2 admission for guests ages 10 and up. - ➤ Kenosha County received a $700,000 grant from the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative to launch Phase III of the Pike River Restoration Project at Petrifying Springs Park + the work will reduce sediment, phosphorus and nitrogen to protect Lake Michigan’s water and enhance trails, a change lifelong residents say is promising.
