- ➤ Jose L. Cervantes, 41, of Kenosha, was in court Thursday on charges of battery and disorderly conduct—he is accused of throwing a glass beer bottle at his wife and punching her repeatedly during a domestic dispute. Kenosha County Eye

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A county-funded study released on July 17 found that Kenosha County’s emergency response was delayed during the 2020 unrest, with the Emergency Operations Center activated only after most of the damage and two demonstrators died—raising questions over command decisions such as the reluctance of police leadership to engage in a unified response.
