  • State Bank of the Lakes announced it will build its first private branch in the Kenosha Innovation Neighborhood at the corner of 52nd St. and 28th Ave.—construction is set to begin this year at the redevelopment site that also features LakeView Technology Academy and a soon-to-open Kenosha Innovation Center.  WGTD
  • Michigan-based Advia is planning to build a new credit union branch on 75th St between 7-Brew Coffee & Riteway Auto in Kenosha, according to city Plan Commission documents. The credit union already has locations in Silver Lake, Elkhorn & Gurnee.  WGTD

CRIME NEWS

  • Preston Andrew Kelley, a 20-year-old from Lodi, was held on bail after he allegedly entered a stranger’s camper at the Country Thunder music festival and climbed into her bed while she slept — charges he faces in court.  Kenosha County Eye
  • A 34-year-old homeless man was charged with three misdemeanor graffiti counts after he allegedly spray-painted skulls — and slogans on three Kenosha businesses early on July 10.  Kenosha County Eye
  • Eric W. Gragen, 43, of Kenosha was charged Friday with five counts after deputies said he choked and threatened his girlfriend during a fight at a home on the 1400 block of 95th Avenue — he is held on $5,000 bail, must not contact the victim, and will face a preliminary hearing on July 24.  Kenosha County Eye
  • A 30-year-old man from Waukegan was charged Friday in Kenosha with felony intimidation and two misdemeanors after he allegedly arrived uninvited at his ex-girlfriend's home and threatened her repeatedly over the phone.  Kenosha County Eye
