  • Two Kenosha game developers will release Contract Rush DX, a hand-animated run-and-gun action game for PC on July 30 via Steam — the project started during a 10-day game jam in 2020 and grew quickly. The duo, Julian Noah and his brother known as Melon, plan to try console versions later — adding more ways for local gamers to play.  Kenosha News

  • A 50-year-old Kenosha man, Robert L. Ruffin Jr., was charged with domestic abuse after allegedly choking, striking, and restraining his live-in partner in their home last week—he was held on $5,000 bail.  Kenosha County Eye
  • A Minnesota man was charged with felony money laundering and forgery in Kenosha after depositing a forged $2,300 church check and moving the funds through many bank accounts—police said a $5,000 arrest warrant was issued for his capture.  Kenosha County Eye
  • A 22-year-old Kenosha woman kicked a nurse in the face and was restrained by emergency staff after disturbing Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital over the weekend—she now faces felony charges, officials said.  Kenosha County Eye
  • Michael M. Smith, 41, from Beach Park faces five felony charges for allegedly beating a woman in her Kenosha home on July 21 and refusing to let her leave, causing severe bruising and a fracture near her left eye — he is held on $15,000 bail with a preliminary hearing set for July 29.  Kenosha County Eye

CULTURE NEWS

  • The 2025 Kenosha Homecoming Car Show kicked off Tuesday evening at Danish Brotherhood with a car cruise-in that ended a three-year break for the world’s largest AMC show. The six-day event—celebrating Kenosha’s century-long automotive manufacturing heritage and coinciding with the city’s 175th anniversary—features Saturday’s show at Kennedy Park and Thursday’s nostalgic cruise-in at its original manufacturing site.  WLIP

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Kenosha County and southeast Wisconsin are under an extreme heat advisory from 10 a.m. today until 7 p.m. on Thursday as the National Weather Service warns that high humidity could push heat index values to 107 degrees. Officials urge residents to drink plenty of water, seek air-conditioned spaces, and use local cooling centers (such as Bristol Village Hall and Randall Town Hall) to stay safe.  Kenosha News
