  • Midwest Mix Fest is set for August 2—3 at Kemper Center in Kenosha and will bring over 30 musicians, local vendors, art displays, food contests, and family activities to our community. The two-day event benefits Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and honors young Alexandra Scott’s legacy in the fight against childhood cancer.  Kenosha.com

CRIME NEWS

  • Kenosha man Cristian San Pedro Lopez, 33, was charged Saturday night after allegedly stealing a $140 bottle of whiskey — brandishing a knife and attempting to spit at an officer during his arrest.  Kenosha County Eye
  • A 23-year-old man from Kenosha is accused of holding a gun inches from his ex-girlfriend's head during an hours-long ordeal—he drove at high speed, threatened to kill her and forced her to walk to a lakeshore rock pile.  Kenosha County Eye
  • Milton S. Alvarado Gomez, a 33-year-old Kenosha man, is accused of attacking the mother of his children twice in one week by strangling her, pouring hot water on her, and threatening to kill her while fleeing with their children as detailed in a criminal complaint filed Monday; he now faces six charges including felony strangulation.  Kenosha County Eye
  • A 25-year-old man from Waukegan was charged with five counts including first-degree recklessly endangering safety and battery after allegedly assaulting the mother of his children near a Kwik Trip on 75th Street in Pleasant Prairie on July 21 — his preliminary hearing is set for today.  Kenosha County Eye
  • Kenosha man Marco A. Infusino (25) was charged with a 115 mph chase into Illinois and had his bail reduced by Circuit Judge Angelina Gabriele despite objections from the District Attorney’s Office; his full bail was paid on July 11 so he is free pending trial.  Kenosha County Eye
  • James Kenney Taylor, 54—who has a long history of drunk driving—was charged on Monday with his fifth OWI after he allegedly drove 80 mph through Somers while under the influence.  Kenosha County Eye
  • A Kenosha man, Jacob M. Arendt, 36, is accused of lighting a towel on his stove—placing silverware in his microwave—and resisting arrest while heavily intoxicated, leading to four criminal charges per a complaint filed Monday.  Kenosha County Eye
  • A 20-year-old Kenosha man, Josue I. Rubio Arreguin, faces multiple criminal charges—including a municipal OWI—after he allegedly led officers on a 100 mph chase while high on THC.  Kenosha County Eye
