- ➤ Kenosha moms started the 262 Moms Resources Facebook group less than a year ago and it now helps nearly 7,000 local families with school supplies, diapers and baby formula—keeping support close at hand during hard times. The group will hold a Back-to-School Giving Garage event Sunday, August 24th from 1 to 4 p.m. at Somers Village Hall to offer free supplies for the new school year. TMJ-4

- ➤ A Racine man — 21-year-old Irvin Yair Molina — faced five criminal charges after he allegedly led police on a high-speed chase through Pleasant Prairie and Kenosha while driving with a revoked license and two bonds in effect. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ Madelyn Rose Garrison, 26, of Kenosha, was charged with two misdemeanors Tuesday after she allegedly drove under the influence of alcohol and marijuana while two small children were in her car — her case is underway in court. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ Janine Nicole Williams—43—of Kenosha faced multiple criminal charges after police said her dog was found dead on the roof of her home in filthy conditions that showed long-term neglect. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ Willie R. Lay Jr., 34, of Kenosha was charged Tuesday with nine felonies—including five counts for dealing or possessing over 40 grams of cocaine—after a drug investigation that began in September and led to a raid near Curtis Strange Elementary School. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ Authorities warned Kenosha residents about a phone scam that nearly stopped a local woman from going to court—after Pleasant Prairie police arrested her on Monday and released her on bail, she and her mother got calls from a man pretending to be Sgt. Lance Carter who said they owed $841.56 and that she did not need to appear in court, and officials said the call was a hoax. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ A 31-year-old Kenosha woman was charged with domestic battery and three counts of bail jumping after she allegedly punched the father of her children during an argument on Monday morning at her home on the 5800 block of 19th Avenue—she was formally charged in court on Tuesday with bail set at $350 and faces a pre-trial conference on Sept. 11. - ➤ Kenosha County Executive Samantha Kerkman celebrated a boost for the local economy after the state announced up to $100 million in tax credits to support Eli Lilly’s planned $4 billion development in the county — the project is expected to create construction jobs and long-term growth in the region. - ➤ Bryan Neal, a local taxpayer, filed a lawsuit Monday in Kenosha County Circuit Court alleging the Village of Twin Lakes and Aquanuts Water Shows, Inc. broke bidding rules on a waterfront project at Lance Park by treating paid work as a donation — he says the plan gives Aquanuts a 10-year lease — and he asks the court to stop construction until proper competitive bidding occurs.
