ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A 26-year-old Kenosha man died in a violent single-vehicle crash on 60th Street early Sunday morning— his 2006 Lexus overturned after striking a fire hydrant and a tree, and a 25-year-old Illinois passenger was transported with a broken arm to a local hospital.  Kenosha County Eye

CRIME NEWS

  • A 41-year-old homeless man—Eric R. Sobin—was charged with three felony counts for allegedly using a stolen debit card to make unauthorized purchases across Kenosha in late April.  Kenosha County Eye
  • A Kenosha County jury convicted 66 year old Racine man Javail Terry Winston for robbing a bank on Feb. 2, 2024 when he passed a written note to a teller and fled with over $2,200—prosecutors said he faces up to 40 years in prison and will be sentenced Oct. 27.  WLIP
  • A Salem Lakes woman, Tiffany Lynn Schultz, 42, was charged Thursday with three misdemeanors after Kenosha County deputies found nearly 1,000 grams of THC products in her home following her teenage daughter’s allegations of neglect and drug use — she did not receive the immunity normally given to local lawyer friends.  Kenosha County Eye
  • Jovanta J. Dotson, 36, of Racine, was charged Thursday with concealing a stolen firearm and carrying a concealed weapon—officers found a loaded handgun during a routine traffic stop in Somers.  Kenosha County Eye
  • A 63-year-old Kenosha man, Mark Eugene Adams, allegedly swerved his pickup truck at a motorcyclist and rear-ended him in what witnesses described as a deliberate act—he now faces a felony charge in court.  Kenosha County Eye
  • Salim Barkho, 58, a landlord from Skokie, Illinois, was charged with disorderly conduct while armed after a teen said Barkho threatened him with a hammer and then a knife at his rental on the 1000 block of 75th Street, and he posted $300 bail on July 7+ a cellphone video confirmed both weapons.  Kenosha County Eye
