- ➤ The Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha looked back on its successes and is preparing to finish the year strong by offering homework support, healthy meals, college help, social-emotional learning, and holiday gift drives for local youth. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 48 year old man from Kenosha was arrested after a hearing for two felony cases — he now faces new charges for a February shooting outside Ron’s Place. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ Juan Carlos Yacunta Quiroz was sentenced to one year in Kenosha County jail on Wednesday for his role in an organized retail theft ring that stole more than $54,000 in Nike merchandise across 17 states—authorities recovered stolen goods and an anti-theft tool during the Pleasant Prairie arrest. - ➤ A 47-year-old homeless man faced felony and misdemeanor charges after he allegedly attacked another man Friday afternoon at Library Park—according to the sheriff. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ A 55-year-old Kenosha man is facing domestic abuse charges after he repeatedly punched a woman—fracturing her nose—and stopped her from calling 911 during a violent encounter earlier this month. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ A Kenosha man with previous domestic violence convictions against the same woman was given a nine-month work-release sentence after pleading guilty to felony battery for a 2023 attack on her, and the sentence is much lighter than the maximum penalty. Kenosha County Eye
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Carthage College will break previous records this fall with 900 to 1,000 first-year students after a 40% rise in applications. The college capped the increase at 20% and leased two floors at a local hotel — actions taken to manage growing enrollment. WGTD

- ➤ Retired police dog K9 Riggs died Thursday as Governor Tony Evers signed the K9 Riggs Act to increase penalties for harming law enforcement animals — Riggs served over a decade, earned national honors, and his passing marked a poignant end to a heroic career. WLIP
