  • Kaelie Billingsley, 2025 Fairest of the Fair, is set to host the Kenosha County Fair at Wilmot fairgrounds starting today and continuing through Aug. 17—she is a 19-year-old animal science and pre-veterinary student at the University of Wisconsin Platteville preparing for her biggest role yet.  Kenosha News

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A Salem Lakes home at 520 N. Cogswell Drive became uninhabitable early Tuesday when a back porch fire fueled by a 100-pound propane tank spread quickly—firefighters from Salem Lakes and neighboring departments responded and no injuries were reported.  Kenosha County Eye

  • Trevor Brooks now owns Kenosha Coffee Roasters at 1106 55th St.—the shop officially opened on March 17 and serves specially crafted coffee and espresso beverages in the same building.  Kenosha News

CRIME NEWS

  • Trevor C. Runyon, 42, of Kentucky was sentenced on Monday to more than three years in prison after a high-speed chase on April 14, 2024 on Interstate 94 in the Village of Bristol that led to his fourth drunk driving conviction and the discovery of THC vapes and marijuana in his red Toyota+ his sentence includes 16 months in confinement with credit for 121 days served+ a $600 fine and court costs+ a 36-month license revocation as he must also undergo an alcohol assessment and install an ignition interlock device when eligible to drive again.  Kenosha County Eye
  • Tammy Jo Rose — a courtroom bailiff for Kenosha County Circuit Court Judge Chad Kerkman — was charged with felony identity theft after an incident at the Sherwin-Williams store in Pleasant Prairie on May 24.  Kenosha County Eye
  • A 28-year-old Kenosha man—with a lengthy domestic abuse history—was charged Tuesday with nine counts including attempted burglary and bail jumping after police said he twice tried to force his way into his ex-girlfriend's home early morning on Aug. 9.  Kenosha County Eye
  • A 32-year-old man from Kenosha was charged with 10 counts including firearm possession and battery after police reported he beat a woman following her miscarriage and blocked her escape—police found drugs and a stolen handgun in his apartment.  Kenosha County Eye
