EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The University of Wisconsin-Parkside will upgrade the northeast corner of its Somers campus — removing the vacant former childcare center near Tallent Hall — to allow for planned future improvements. The project will create space for additional development work. Kenosha News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Kenosha County Highway E is closed today — culvert replacement construction is starting as workers begin necessary repairs. Kenosha News
- ➤ On August 24, 2025, several hundred residents attended the Kenosha County Courthouse centennial celebration with speeches by county executive Samantha Kerkman and other officials, guided tours, an ice cream social held in Civic Center Park, and live music from the Kenosha Pops Concert Band and a UW band. Officials honored the courthouse as a lasting symbol of justice and service—marking a century of government in action. WGTD
