- ➤ A 47-year-old Chicago woman was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting an officer, and battery after she kicked a Kenosha police officer and exposed herself during a disturbance on Aug. 18 on 23rd Avenue—she was ordered $1,000 bail and her preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 4. - ➤ Leslie A. Troha, 55, of Milwaukee, appeared in court today—facing three misdemeanor charges for a chaotic incident inside the Kenosha Municipal Building earlier this week. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ Richard H. Johnson, 41, was charged with multiple crimes after allegedly spitting on two police officers at a gas station disturbance — he was ordered to undergo a competency exam. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ A Chicago man — Dean T. Schuth, 33 — is facing multiple felony charges after he stabbed and choked a woman during a violent confrontation in her Kenosha apartment on Saturday night. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ A Bristol man was sentenced to more than eight years in state prison after pleading guilty to orchestrating drug deals involving Oxycodone and fentanyl — some of the deals occurred near schools and parks. Kenosha County Eye
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Kenosha School Board voted Tuesday to give AST employees a 2.95% cost-of-living wage increase, separate technicians from administrators, and begin talks on post-employment benefits. The board also approved more teacher prep time for next school year at a cost of over $3 million — a measure that brings the district in line with local schools. WGTD
