- ➤ More than 30 close friends gathered at Eichelman Park on Monday evening to honor 15-year-old Addi McBride, a Tremper High School student who passed away unexpectedly last week, and they released balloons with handwritten notes—later her family and several teens swam in the lake she loved. - ➤ Fourteen-year-old Natalia Lisamas, who was excited to start school, was fatally struck on 52nd Street near 19th Avenue Friday night after 8 p.m. while walking home from a friend’s house in Kenosha—police say the 53-year-old driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. - ➤ Police broke up a fight at The Tipsy Kiwi on Saturday night when a disturbance during karaoke led to several arrests and two patrons being taken to a hospital—one treated and released and one still hospitalized— as the bar provided security footage to police. WLIP
- ➤ A 28-year-old woman formerly of Kenosha was charged with nine counts of animal cruelty after authorities said she abandoned three cats in an apartment without food or water during a hot summer stretch—charges filed on September 3. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ A 25-year-old Kenosha man, Jacell V. Lott, was charged with a felony drug offense after police found over 80 grams of marijuana in a parked car on Sept. 1—he is set to appear in court on Sept. 5. Kenosha County Eye

- ➤ On September 20 at 7 PM, Sparks Fly The Taylor Swift Experience will perform at The Ralph J. Houghton Performance Center and is expected to draw over 1300 fans to benefit United Way of Kenosha County—organizers will also celebrate Taylor Swift’s engagement to Travis Kelce and announce new music. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ At last Tuesday's Kenosha County Board meeting, citizen Lori Hawkins questioned District Attorney Xavier Solis after noting that 14 assistant district attorneys resigned over eight months, causing case delays and justice concerns. The board also heard Supervisor Laura Belsky propose renewing the Kemper Center lease—expected to bring $2 million in private investment—and passed a resolution on opioid litigation spending. WLIP
