- ➤ On September 12, 2025, players from Bradford and Indian Trail High Schools joined together in prayer after a football game to show unity and faith. The gathering started when Bradford's Ely and Indian Trail's Gavin sparked the idea + most players stayed on the field to participate. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ On Saturday afternoon, community members gathered at the Petrifying Springs Biergarten in Somers for the ninth annual Oktoberfest—rainy weather turned to sunny skies with 70 degree temperatures. Kenosha News
- ➤ Frank’s Diner has served as a local meeting place for 100 years and owners Julie Rittmiller and Kevin Ervin celebrated with a block party and special offers this week—officially billed as the '99th' anniversary in keeping with tradition. The diner started in 1925 after city officials made founder Anthony Franks wait a year to open, and it remains a cherished part of our community. TMJ-4

- ➤ The Parent-Teacher Organization at Prairie Lane Elementary School in Pleasant Prairie is under police investigation for financial irregularities discovered Sept 10 — the group has suspended all events and fundraising while police review its records. TMJ-4

- ➤ Fourth District Alderman Holly Kangas resigned from the Kenosha Common Council Monday night as her resignation took effect at midnight after she announced her corticobasal syndrome diagnosis—a rare form of Parkinson’s disease. - ➤ Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital and the Pleasant Prairie Clinic have introduced FEES to safely check patients’ swallowing function—Speech Pathologist Hannah Alfredson-Cox said the new tool avoids radiation and will help both inpatients and outpatients. Kenosha.com
