- ➤ Kenosha’s 9th Annual Oktoberfest at Union Park Tavern will begin on Saturday, September 20 with a ceremonial keg tapping—joining the city with its sister city Wolfenbüttel to honor Kenosha’s 175th anniversary and the emerald anniversary of their partnership. The two-day festival will feature food, music and games—continuing the celebration on Sunday, September 21. Kenosha.com
- ➤ Blue House Books in downtown Kenosha celebrates five years today with a birthday event offering a free tote bag for purchases of $25 and a raffle drawing at 5 p.m.—the store will host author and family events later in September including a meet and greet on September 20th and additional activities through the month. - ➤ Christmas Wizards will perform at the Ralph J. Houghton Performance Center on December 12 with music from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra featuring a light show, angelic choir, snow machines, and surprises—this all-ages event will benefit the Education Foundation of Kenosha and begin at 7:00 p.m. after doors open at 6:00 p.m. Kenosha.com
