- ➤ Crews have begun building four baseball fields at Prairie Springs Park—an effort to enhance local sports facilities in Pleasant Prairie. Kenosha News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Kenosha Unified School District reported that the Third Friday student count fell to 17,799 on Sept. 19, 2025 — 723 fewer than last fall. District officials say the drop may be linked to a birth drought and families choosing alternative schooling options. Kenosha County Eye
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Kenosha announced it will hold a free document shredding event on Oct. 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at three sites—Northside Library, Southwest Library, and Kenosha Water Utility—for residents to safely dispose of sensitive paperwork and limit potential identity theft. Residents may bring up to five bags or boxes of documents, and the shredded paper will be recycled to help reduce waste. Kenosha County Eye
