COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Kenosha native Father Dominic Rosciolo launched a new wine that donates a portion of each sale to support local veterans+ the proceeds will fund essential outreach programs for those who served.  Kenosha News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Randall Consolidated School informed families Tuesday through its Speak Up Speak Out system that an anonymous threat was reported and immediately reviewed with Twin Lakes Police Department—officials confirmed there was no danger to students or staff.  Kenosha County Eye

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Today, Kenosha announced plans to demolish four former KUSD school buildings—KTEC East will become a new campus, KTEC West and McKinley Elementary are set for about 30 residential lots plus a neighborhood park, and Washington Middle School is reserved for future development. Some local residents expressed frustration over not being notified earlier and worry about potential safety and traffic issues as redevelopment moves forward.  TMJ-4

HEALTH NEWS

  • At UW-Parkside earlier this month, a referee suffered a heart attack on a soccer field — players and staff quickly grabbed an AED and began CPR as Athletic Trainer Kaela Johnson used the device to restore his heartbeat. Paramedics soon arrived and transported him to the hospital.  WGTD
