EDUCATION NEWS

  • The UW system said it plans to change credit transfer rules to lower costs and shorten the time needed for a degree — a move expected to help students transfer between campuses more easily.  Kenosha News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Kenosha County's district attorney defended his handling of a backlog of court cases and his plan to hire more prosecutors after taking office earlier this year (he said his office is working to add staff and reduce delays).  Kenosha News

SPORTS NEWS

  • On Saturday afternoon, fans filled Kenosha's Brat Stop to watch the Cubs and Brewers play in the National League Division Series, and the parking lot was packed with cars from both Illinois and Wisconsin. The game brought loud cheers and friendly heckling—with half the crowd in Cubs blue and half in Brewers gold—while servers worked quickly to serve food.  Kenosha County Eye
