- ➤ The nonprofit Sharing Center in Trevor announced it will extend its Monday hours to help area residents facing delays with November Foodshare benefits. The change comes as more people in the community need timely food aid. Kenosha News
- ➤ Shalom Center will host pop-up food pantries for Kenosha residents on Nov. 5, 12 and 24 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at 4314 39th Ave — the event provides extra food support for local families. Kenosha News
- ➤ When Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica, Kenosha resident Aileen Henry said her sister Shauna’s home lost its roof and became unlivable, forcing Shauna and her two children to stay with neighbors. A friend launched a GoFundMe to help rebuild—the family asks for prayers and essential support. TMJ-4

- ➤ The Kenosha County Veterans Service Office hosted its annual veterans’ breakfast and resource fair on November 3 at the Job Center building and presented awards to Jim Schmidt for 23 years of service to the Veterans Service Commission — Piasecki Funeral Home was honored for sponsoring the breakfast for seven years. County officials emphasized the need to connect veterans with proper benefits as the community prepares for Veterans Day on November 11. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ The Kenosha County Housing Task Force held a workshop on Oct 29 at Somers Village/Town Hall featuring an interactive board game that simulated zoning challenges—local officials, plan commission members and staff learned about balancing growth, infrastructure and community needs.
