CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Kenosha Unified School District and Hansen’s Pool and Spa will host the annual Jazz Festival today at Tremper High School where all KUSD jazz ensembles will perform with special guest Russ Johnson at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the show cost $10 (limit three per person) and the event will be streamed online. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ KTEC Schools of Innovation finalized a $5 million purchase of a long-vacant 56,000-square-foot building at 1901 63rd St. in Uptown. Construction will begin this month to turn the site into a full 4K—12 campus by fall, offering modern classrooms, a gymnasium and career labs for hands-on learning. WLIP
- ➤ A UW-Parkside non-profit leadership conference is scheduled for Nov. 12th to give board members and executives new tools amid federal budget cuts and rapid technological change—issues that stress many non-profits.
