- ➤ Over 200 cars lined up outside Village Hall on Saturday as local volunteers, partners and police handed out free groceries to families in need in Pleasant Prairie. The Journey Disaster Response Team led the drive with support from Kroger, Meijer, Amazon and student volunteers — helping make a real difference during tough times. TMJ-4

- ➤ A new Pizza Ranch is planned after the City Plan Commission gave preliminary approval for a 9,625-square-foot restaurant at 4955 Green Bay Road—located on the southeast corner of 49th Street and Green Bay Road. The $4.26 million project will feature a buffet area, dining room, Fun Zone arcade and community rooms—along with 111 parking spaces and stormwater management systems on a 2.15-acre site. - ➤ Two Bear Development housing projects are moving forward in Kenosha and will add nearly 240 apartment units — Fox Meadowview will provide 144 government-subsidized income-restricted units at the northeast corner of 50th Street and 52nd Avenue, while Brookstone Multi-Family will offer 94 market-rate units at the southwest corner of 42nd Street and 35th Avenue. - ➤ A new 97-room TownePlace Suites hotel is planned on Kenosha’s far west side after a conditional use permit was approved by the City Plan Commission. Hitesh Patel of Shiva Hotels will lead the project on a three-acre site south of 71st and east of 125th — the hotel will add to local lodging options when completed. Kenosha County Eye
