COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Turkey-themed races will start tomorrow in Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie for Thanksgiving. The events will culminate with the Mayor’s Turkey Run—expected to draw local participants.  Kenosha News
  • United Way, YMCA and BCU launched Every Child Warm in the Winter, a drive to collect coats, hats, mittens and gloves for Frank Elementary students in grades 4K to 5 so they can stay warm and ready to learn. Donations are accepted at four Kenosha locations until Dec. 6 — the effort helps students get to school safely during winter.  Kenosha County Eye

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Prairie Lane was recognized as a Wisconsin Blue Ribbon School by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction—after finishing the nomination and review process for the former National Blue Ribbon Schools Program.  Kenosha.com

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Moms for Liberty chapters from Racine and Kenosha held their annual holiday party Thursday night with local officials and national speakers discussing education advocacy and parental rights ahead of the 2026 elections—Joann Koenecke recognized volunteers and Scarlett Johnson highlighted a recent legal win while urging unity among parents. Local leaders also detailed efforts on school safety and community outreach during the event.  Kenosha County Eye
  • County Executive Samantha Kerkman announced that a limited-edition ornament featuring the official centennial logo and a reprinted historical book celebrating the courthouse's 100th anniversary are now available for purchase at three county locations.
