- ➤ Late Monday night, a plumbing problem flooded Hope Council on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse's Kenosha office and ruined its stock of winter supplies—items crucial for those facing homelessness and substance abuse. - ➤ Kenosha Parks Department is hosting the Third Annual Magic at Muni event with a 1/3-mile loop of holiday lights at Washington Municipal Golf Course until Dec. 28—visitors can attend on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. while enjoying treats at a festive clubhouse with free entry. - ➤ WGTD, Gateway Technical College’s public radio station, turns 50 this month and will host a coffee-and-kringle open house on Friday, December 12 at its studios in the Inspire Center on Gateway’s Kenosha campus. Visitors can tour the station, meet the staff, and record birthday greetings for upcoming broadcasts — the event also will set the stage for forming a listener ambassadors group for future community events. - ➤ Salem Lakes Fire Chief Al Carr led a ceremony Tuesday night to honor the Salem Lakes Fire & Rescue crew for pulling a man from a crashed vehicle in a ravine on September 19—after he lost his pulse twice, the team revived him and helped secure his full recovery. Kenosha County Eye
- ➤ Captain Mike’s Beer and Burger Bar will host an Ice Bar & Parka Party fundraiser outdoors on Friday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m.—residents are invited to join the event in Kenosha. Kenosha News

- ➤ A Kenosha mother is planning a funeral for her three young children who died in an apartment fire on Thanksgiving night. The police and fire departments are still investigating the cause — a fundraiser will cover the funeral costs before remaining funds are donated to help other families. TMJ-4
