The City of Kenosha opened its outdoor ice rink at Veterans Memorial Park today outside City Hall at 5220 Sixth Avenue.

It is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and the Skate Hut offers free skate checkouts (photo ID required).

The Kenosha County Snowmobile Alliance says snowmobile trails remain closed after recent snowfall because trail markers are incomplete and hunting season is underway — a crew is scheduled to finish work this Sunday.

Riders are reminded not to trespass on unmarked trails to prevent damage.

Downtown business owner Deshaun Foster of Blak Coffee donated nearly 75 Thanksgiving meal kits to several Kenosha Unified schools to help local families in need.
