  • The Be the Change concert featuring Grammy-nominated SaulPaul will be held at the Kenosha Emerging Leaders Academy on Friday, Dec. 19 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and will offer inspiring storytelling, leadership challenges, and activities for young community leaders; registration is required for free entry.  Kenosha.com

  • In Kenosha, the BCU Giving Tree event distributed holiday gifts to students at Southport and Curtis Strange elementary schools through the 'Gifts 4 Kids' program.   • Gateway Technical College trustees approved a president search profile that details the benefits and challenges of leading the college, including campuses in Racine, Kenosha and Elkhorn, to attract qualified candidates nationwide.  Kenosha News
  • Kenosha Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Weiss said in an interview that despite some parents keeping children home over safety concerns after a previous school incident, enhanced police presence remains and no current threat has been identified (the district also urges use of the Speak Up, Speak Out app).  WLIP
  • 85-year-old Molla Anam became UW-Parkside’s oldest graduate as he earned his advanced degree after waiting over 50 years to fulfill his lifelong dream.  Kenosha News
