ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Kenosha’s curbside compostable items collection program began Monday, Oct. 6 and runs through Saturday, Nov. 29, requiring residents to use city-approved biodegradable bags—Bag To Nature, BioBag, or Ecoguard—to ensure pickup. Residents must place bags at the curb between 6:30 p.m. the day before collection and 6 a.m. on collection day with a limit of 40 lbs and can use a coupon for $2 off each box at local retailers. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Kenosha and the Kenosha Professional Police Association reached a tentative three-year contract agreement — following a collaborative negotiation process — and the deal was set for approval by the City Finance Committee and Common Council yesterday.
